Artist Statement: 
The Zapata Rail is a very elusive, and probably flightless, bird which lives only in the dense sawgrass marshes of the Zapata Swamp in southwest Cuba. The last sighting of this rail was in 2014, which was the first time it had been seen in over 40 years.
