Vancouver, BC CANADA - July 9, 2015 - Artists for Conservation is pleased to announce that Signature AFC Member, Vickie McMillan's painting "Life, Love and Community" depicting a herd of African elephants, has been selected for the cover of the 2016 AFC Environmental Calendar. In addition to highlighting statutory and religious holidays, the calendar also uniquely highlights a wide range of international environmental-themed days and weeks. The annual calendar is published on sustainably forested paper, as a companion to the 7th annual AFC Exhibit, showing in North Vancouver, BC running September 26 thorough to October 5th. A full-sized giclee print of the painting by Vickie will be on display at the festival and available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds .
The calendar also features images of twelve artwork selected from the 2015 AFC Exhibit and virtual show. Many of which will be on display in the exhibit at the 2015 AFC Festival.

Several of the original artworks in the calendar will be on display and available for purchase with 40% of the proceeds supporting AFC and conservation organizations around the world.
The AFC 2016 Environmental Calendar is perfect for keeping track of all international public and important environmental-themed dates. Each month is represented by a select work from this year's Art of Conservation Exhibit. Proceeds from the 2016 AFC Calendar supports Artists for Conservation and a portion of each sale of each calendar supports the Wildlife Conservation Society and their mission to conserve wildlife and wild places worldwide.
