New 2015 AFC Festival Venue & Expo

In 2015, AFC will be adding a new opening venue to the its Festival program - at one of Vancouver's premiere hotels located steps from the iconic conference center and Canada Place world trade center, the business district and cruise ship terminal. Following 3 days at the Fairmont, including the AFC's fundraising gala, and a new AFC art expo, the event will migrate for two more weekends at Grouse Mountain - previously the sole venue since 2011 Building upon the juried art exhibit - the heart of the event, The AFC Festival is positioned as the world's premiere visual arts event designed to reconnect society with nature. 

The 2015 Festival will also represent a major milestone in program development and expansion of the event overall. Accompanying the juried exhibit, which remains the heart of the Festival, twelve AFC artists will also be featured with exhibit space to showcase their artwork. As with the juried exhibit, a portion of proceeds from art sales in the Expo will support conservation and education. The AFC Art Expo will be open only to AFC members and will run along side the annual exhibit from September 10-12, 2015. 

Programming at the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel will also include an expanded schedule of musical and performing arts. The location for the first weekend should benefit from its proximity to downtown business district for art collectors. The venue will also play host to AFC's annual gala and awards ceremony evening.
