This afternoon (Nov 11), the Festival will open to the public again at 2:00 pm with live art demos, gallery viewings, film screenings and two lectures presented by AFC artists Kim Middleton and David Kitler at 3:30 pm and 5:30 pm respectively. Kim will speak on "Birds in a Different Light" and David will share on the topic of "Observing & Portraying the Endangered Harpy Eagle & its Habitat"
On Saturday (Nov 12), Kelly Dodge will open the day with a 11:00 am lecture on "Galapagos - 40 Days and 40 Nights - An Artist's Sojurn," followed by Pat & Rosemarie Keough's presentation on "Labyrinth Sublime: The inside Passage." Cultural Performances at noon and 2PM in the chalet and there will be a hosted screening of How an Artist Save the Mountain Gorilla at 2:15, and a screening of This is Your Ocean: Sharks at 4:00 pm. The day will close with a lecture by Jeff Whiting on Artists For Conservation's work.
Sunday (Nov 13) is the final day of the 2011 AFC Festival and your final chance to take in our very own, Jeff Whiting, Founder & President of AFC, who will be taking visitors on a guided walk of the gallery, and presenting a lecture on the work of Artists For Conservation. There will be a final screening of This is Your Ocean: Sharks at 3:00 pm, followed by the final lecture of the day with Danny Catt on "Can Photography Save the World."
