With so much going on at the Artists for Conservation Festival at Grouse Mountain Nov. 5 to 13, it would be easy to overlook the fact that it is a rare opportunity to acquire some wonderful original artwork by some of the world's leading talent in nature and wildlife art. From sculpture to painting, all of the work is available and prices range from as low as $750 to as high as $55,000. The average price for world class artwork from AFC is around $5,500.
Since 2008, AFC's annual juried exhibit, The Art of Conservation, has been one of the most anticipated exhibits in the international nature and wildlife art scene. Now in its fourth year, The Art of Conservation has established itself as the world's pre-eminent annual conservation-themed art show.
Whether it's an exotic jungle scene from Borneo, a majestic portrait of an African savannah, a Canadian forest landscape, or a stone sculpture of an owl, there are dozens of new works to be admired and collected.
