Today's Artists For Conservation (AFC) Festival Opening at Grouse Mountain brought out young and old and everyone in-between to learn about the importance of nature through art.

Today is the big day. The festival kicks off with the opening ceremonies, awards, and a First Nations performance at 10 am, closely followed by keynote presentations by Robert Bateman and Guy Harvey.

While the AFC Festival doesn't get underway until Saturday morning, we're thrilled to get things moving on Friday evening with the first fundraising gala (in benefit of Artists For Conservation) we've ever held in the 14-year history of the organization.  Just like the Festival, the Gala will al

A lot will be going on at the AFC Festival starting Nov 5. In addition to lectures and presentations by world class artists and conservationists, there are also several interactive youth workshops and live demos meant to inform young people on important conservation issues.

If you find yourself captivated by this year's Art of Conservation Exhibit but aren't in the market for any full sized pieces,

With so much going on at the Artists for Conservation Festival at Grouse Mountain Nov. 5 to 13, it would be easy to overlook the fact that it is a rare opportunity to acquire some wonderful original artwork by some of the world's leading talent in nature and wildlife art.

It's time to plan your next weekend! The Artists for Conservation Festival starts in just one week, and there are lots of exciting activities for nature enthusiasts, families and art connoisseurs alike.

The Artists for Conservation Festival represents a major expansion on the AFC's annual art exhibit and aims to take full advantage of an extraordinary congregation of international artistic talent, and environmental leadership and knowledge.

AFC friends and Bateman fans are eagerly awaiting the new Bateman, a 24"x 48" oil on canvas original painting that depicts...wait for it...a Pacific Northwestern alpine winter scene with snow-laden trees and a pack of wolves in the background.

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Oct. 7, 2011) - Robert Bateman, world-renowned nature artist, will unveil one of his latest works to the public at the first annual Artists for Conservation Festival on Grouse Mountain, Saturday, November 5.
